Haisley Elementary School Reviews

We love Haisley School. The atmosphere is one of learning and caring. Parents are always welcome to volunteer and encouraged to be involved with their children's school experience. There are many wonderful learning events offered for the children. The principle is active and visible at the school. The special education teams are second to none and are committed to working with the children who have special needs. We feel so fortunate to have our childen at Haisley.

Haisley is an outstanding school. I have high expectations for my children and so do the teachers at Haisley. The kids are truly challenged. The PTO is very active and there are parents in the school helping every day. This is a quality school. I feel very lucky to have my children attending Haisley.

Haisley is very strong in academic program. I have 2 boys in Haisley and they love it. The extracurricular activities are strong. The art program doesn't just teach them about impressionist artists, she lets them make it. Same in the library, computer lab and gym. Parental involvement is the key. Parents care and are always here to help. Some parents do more than others, and all do what they can. It is the best there is in Ann Arbor. I can't tell you how happy I am with the faculty. The principal sets the tone and it is that the children come first. The new multi-purpose room will open Fall 2006 and will be beautiful.

this is a fantastic school

Haisley has been, and continues to be, a fantastic school. We have been there since 1998 when my son entered Kindergarten. My daughter is in 2nd grade. The PTO is very active and raises a lot of money for the school. The teachers are excellent. We have had 3 principals since 1998, which is not ideal, but the current principal is doing an excellent job and parents, staff, and kids all seem to be thriving under her leadership. Redistricting in Ann Arbor a few years ago caused Haisley to get very crowded, but not above capacity. Things have since settled down. Haisley will be getting a new Multi-purpose room and other physical improvements starting in May 2005. Expected completion is by the start of next school year (I think). A very supportive, active school community. I would rate Haisley as one of the best in the community!

This school employs fantastic staff who care a great deal about the welfare of all students, and make Haisley a warm, inviting, safe place to learn and grow. My husband and I grew up here in Ann Arbor and feel that Haisley Elementary is one of the best the city has to offer.
