Dwight Rich Middle School Reviews

Most of the magnet teachers are decent. But one of the teachers is horrible he just gives us the internet. The restroom's are awful. The afterschool program has not started yet. But on the positive side, Ms. Davis is excellent, so is Mr. Koerselman. I also learn a lot in Ms.Nutt's class. My overall interview is that the school is average.

My child is in the 7th grade at Dwight Rich. He attended partially for the 6th grade. I love that place! There is a structured learning environment in which children learn. It is now a math magnet center and so gives children extra learning incentives. There are also after school programs, available at no cost with school bus pick up and drop off. I think this school cares about my child and is a good school.

I have worked with many of the schools in the Lansing Scool District, advocating for our children. I believe that Dwight Rich is the worst school in Lansing. Their staff is bitter, unhelpful, uninspired, and inconsiderate of the students.

I feel that the school is good school, parents who have had children repeat a grade tend to keep blaming the teacher, where is your responsibility to find out how your child is doing and where is your child's responsibility in doing their job, homework. I haven't had any problems with any of the teachers thus far and this is my son's second year. He has done very well, he has honors classes and is very active in participating in after school activities. So let's not lay the blame all at the teacher's pen. Let's take responsibility for ourselves and let your children take the responsibility of getting their education, not socializing.

Ignores parents concerns when it comes to having a student tested for special education or when a student is having problems learning. Shame on the staff

Rich Middle School is an excellent school, I attended this school and now my son is attending. The principal and teachers seem to have genuine concern for the students. Power hour is a great idea and allowing the kids to have a numerous amount of choices for extracurricular activities is great.
