“My daughter started St. Therese preschool in November of last year and I was completely impressed. Her teacher (first year preschool level) is AMAZING w/ these kids. It is very apparent she loves kids an truly enjoys teaching at this level. The preschool is not funded by the church so it is sort of a separate thing, but yet, even at this young age, these kids are totally involved in giving concerts, etc with the rest of the school. The time these teachers invest into these kids is wonderful. I cannot even begin to tell you how many things my daughter has come home with that totally had to have been done outside of school by the teacher (each child had their own photo album at the end of the year, each child was given a book at Christmas, etc). Top notch (at least at this level)!”

“Very qualified teachers k-3.. highly recommended as long as the k-3 teaching staff is in place. The move into Middle School and Jr High is lacking in both structure and disipline. School lacks authority and teacher guidence from all levels of administration. Parents are required to volunteer hours for fund raising, which suppliments a large portion of tuition costs. Great place to start, but understand there may be struggles in the upper grades. Individual accademic success is really guided by the students skills and parents dedication and involvement.”

“St Therese is a school of many faiths and nationalities. Each child is encouraged to develop their own individuality. The teachers are energetic and bring their own individuality to an excellent academic program. The extracurricular activites that the children have a chance to do throughout the year are very enriching. The parents organization is very involved and raises money to help the school with operating costs along with new items purchased for the school. They have purchased new text books and most recently, resources for the Spanish class. I love that the older children in junior high get a chance to interact with the younger grades. Every class has a buddy in a higher grade that they get together with for activites such as art projects or sharing a story.The school has recently put together a student council that is looking into more ideas for extracurricular activities.”

“St. Therese serves as a great foundation for academic rigor and routine. Sadly, they slam all of their effort into molding the elementary students and neglect their middle schoolers. Not enough encouragement of developing positive behaviors into the 6-8th grades, but rather criticising negative ones. The administration and faculty do not encourage questions from precocious pre-teens. No extracurriculars outside of the athletics program (basically basketball and cheerleading) or church services. If you are Catholic, the students can receive sacrament -- after several out-of-class night sessions. Very inconvenient for working parents. Parents are controlling, and will make you pay for not 'volunteering' to help. In short: St. Therese won't prepare your adolescent child for public high school or university. Either send them JUST for elementary, or keep them on the private-schooled track. Great for Pre-K through 5th.”

“We have our son at St Therese in the preschool program and we couldn't be happier. The preschool is absolutely wonderful and the teachers are very caring, committed professionals. I always feel very comfortable when I am in the school and I know that my son is getting a high quality religious education. We feel very blessed to have such a loving environment for our son's first experience with school.”
